The lymphatic system – our body’s waste disposal system – has no dedicated pump like the blood circulation has the heart, so it relies on other factors, like muscular movement, deep abdominal breathing, arterial pulse etc. A common symptom of a compromised lymphatic flow is fluid retention, e.g. swollen ankles or legs, PMT, puffy eyes, sinus congestion, bloating, constipation, weight gain.
